We will warmly greet you at the airport upon your arrival and transport you to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. After settling in, we’ll hold an orientation meeting to discuss the details of the ride and ensure everyone is fully informed about safety measures. In the evening, we’ll share a delicious dinner together before escorting you back to your hotel for a restful night.
We will start the day early, riding along the paved road on the eastern side of Bogd Khan Mountain, located just south of Ulaanbaatar. Our route will eventually connect with the main travel path near the airport. On this day’s journey, 44% of the ride will be on paved roads, while the remaining 56% will take you through wild, natural dirt trails, offering a true off-road adventure. Elsentasarhai is a unique and picturesque sand dune area located about 280 kilometers west of Ulaanbaatar, in the central and western regions of Mongolia. Often referred to as "Mini Gobi," this desert area is characterized by golden sands and a dry, arid climate. It offers an off-the-beaten-path experience for travelers, with a rugged terrain far from paved roads, making it a true adventure destination.
After breakfast, our journey will continue. On this day, 60% of the ride will be on paved roads, while 40% will take you along natural dirt trails.
Orkhon Waterfall is one of Mongolia's most stunning natural landmarks, located in the central part of the country, near the Orkhon River. The waterfall stands about 20 meters high and is surrounded by beautiful, lush greenery, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and photographers. It is part of the Orkhon Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its rich history and spectacular landscapes.
After breakfast, we will head to Tsenkher Hot Springs to relieve some of the fatigue from our journey. This day’s route will be 100% natural dirt roads, offering an amazing adventure for true explorers, with rivers, mud, and high mountains along the way.
Tsenkher Hot Springs is a natural thermal spring located in the central part of Mongolia, near the town of Tsetserleg in Arkhangai province. The hot spring is known for its healing properties, with waters rich in minerals that are believed to have therapeutic benefits for the skin and muscles. The temperature of the water ranges from 40°C to 80°C, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and rejuvenation. Surrounded by picturesque landscapes and the Khangai Mountains, Tsenkher Hot Springs offers a peaceful retreat, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. It is a popular destination for both locals and tourists seeking a natural spa experience in Mongolia’s pristine wilderness.
After a relaxing rest, we will wake up early and head towards the final destination of our journey, Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake. On this day, 79% of the ride will be on paved roads, and 21% will be on natural dirt trails. Along the way, we will visit the uniquely shaped Taykhar Rock, the Chuluut Canyon, formed by seismic activity, and the crater of the extinct volcano Khorgo.
Of course, after breakfast, we will head towards Ugii Lake. On this day, 68% of the ride will be on paved roads, while 32% will be on natural dirt trails, with the wind in our faces as we speed along.
Ugii Lake is a beautiful freshwater lake located in the central part of Mongolia, in Arkhangai province. It is situated near the town of Tsetserleg and is known for its serene beauty and clear waters. The lake covers an area of around 25 square kilometers and is surrounded by rolling hills and lush landscapes, making it a popular spot for fishing, boating, and birdwatching. Ugii Lake is also a significant habitat for migratory birds, especially in the summer months. It is a peaceful destination, ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature in Mongolia’s picturesque countryside.
After breakfast, we will head towards Khustai National Park. On this day, 89% of the ride will be on paved roads, while 11% will take you along natural dirt trails.
Khustai Mountains is a mountain range located in the central part of Mongolia, near the capital city, Ulaanbaatar. The range is known for its unique landscapes, including grasslands, forests, and rugged terrain. It is also famous for being home to the Przewalski’s horse (Takhi), a wild horse species that was reintroduced to Mongolia in the 1990s after becoming extinct in the wild.
Khustai is a protected area and part of the Khustai National Park, which covers around 50,000 hectares. The region is also rich in flora and fauna, making it an excellent spot for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. In addition to the wild horses, the area is home to various other species, such as red deer, marmots, and wolves. The Khustai Mountains offer great opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and experiencing Mongolia’s natural beauty.
After breakfast, we will head back to Ulaanbaatar, but we won’t be taking the usual direct paved route. Instead, we’ll approach the city from the north, offering a more scenic and adventurous path. On this day, 54% of the ride will be on paved roads, while 46% will be on natural dirt trails. As it’s the final day of our journey, how could we resist riding through rivers, mud, and high mountains? It will be a thrilling finish to an unforgettable adventure.
